bishnah, Dec 9: Condemning pro Hurriyat remarks of former chief minister and president National Conference (NC) Dr Farooq Abdullah, ABVP Bishnah today staged a protest against NC leader and also burnt his effigy to register their resentment.
Led by Rankaj Sharma (President), Sam and Manik Sharma (Vice President), Vikas Sharma (Gen Secy) and others, the ABVP activists assembled at Bishnah Chowk, near Govt Girls Higher Secondary School. Raising slogans against NC leader, the ABVP activists staged their protest and burnt the effigy of NC president to register their resentment for his (Dr Farooq) pro Hurriyat remarks and statement saying part of J&K under Pak occupation is part of Pakistan.
Protesters reminded that during Kashmir unrest NC leaders were favouring separatists and providing support to stone pelters clandestinely but now they have started backing separatists openly.
They also condemned Dr Farooq's utterances asserting 'POK kya tumhare baap ka hai (if Pok is their (centre's) paternal property) which also indicates Dr Abdullah's support to separatists.
