| Two narco- peddlers held with 'Brown Sugar' | | |

Udhampur, Dec 9: Police today claimed to have arrested two narcotics peddlers during a naka checking at Rehambal of district Udhampur besides recovering 20 gms of brown sugar.
According to police sources, the arrested accused have been identified namely as Mohd Amin Bhat s/o Abdul Rashid Bhat of Qazigund Kashmir and Paramjeet Singh alias Vicky s/o Hardev Singh of Ghari - Udhampur district.
"On specific information of reliable sources, police team intercepted above mentioned two youths at Rehambal area during a special naka cjhecking, police sources said.
They said, "Police during their personal frisking recovered 20gms of Brown Sugar from their procession." Accordingly the duo was arrested on the spot while the contraband was seized, police sources said.
Meanwhile police have registered a acse in this regard under relevant section of law and further investigations are on to ascertain the origin and destination of the contraband. |
