'India speed Star-Journey for glory' an athlete talent event held 12/17/2016 10:51:22 PM Early Times Report Kathua, Dec 17: National Yuva co-operative Society today organized first "Indian Speed Star-Journey for glory' an athlete championship with the aim to prepare local talented youths for participation in Olympics 2020 and 2024. The event was organized at police line Kathua after in Jammu on February 24 and Kisthwar recently wherein 120 students of entire district and schools took active participation and won 100mtr,200 mtr, 400 & 800mtrs race. While interacting with media, Kuldip Raj MLA Hiranagar who inaugurated the championship appreciated the efforts taken by the Society and said," India could not win more medals in recent Olympics that is a matter of concern. He added that It's a great opportunity for local youth to take part in next Olympic in Japan in 2020.
