JAMMU, Dec 17: A powerful SI, who was posted in a computer section in Kathua district of Jammu region, has got his transfer order cancelled within over a month and a half of his posting in Jammu. He was transferred from Kathua to Jammu on October 31, 2016 as per order No 426 of JKS range. Police sources said soon after he joined in Jammu, he started making efforts, activating all his resources to get his transfer order cancelled. He didn't want to leave Kathua where he had already served for a long time, the sources added. Knowing that a former SSP of Kathua, who was now on central deputation, had good relations with senior officers at PHQ, he utilised the services of this IPS officer. Sources said the SSP spoke to the senior officers at PHQ, requesting them to get the SI's transfer order cancelled. Sources said acting on the SSP's recommendation, PHQ issued order No 3613, cancelling the SI's transfer order and posting him again in Kathua. "In its order, PHQ has referred to its order No 468 0f 2010, which says that only PHQ and no one else can effect the transfers of Inspectors and SIs of computer section," the sources added. |
