| Villages of Mendhar face water crisis, Deptt in slumber | | |  Early Times Report
Mendhar, Mar 27: Two villages in Mendhar Sub Division of district Poonch are facing acute water shortage for the last few weeks.
Reports said that people of Harni area today lodged protest with the Naib Tehasildar Mendhar alleging acute shortage of water there. They also submitted a memorandum to the Naib Tehasildar demanding resumption of water supply which has been affected for the last a few weeks. The Naib Tehasildar directed the AEE Mendhar to ensure adequate water supply to the area. Meanwhile, Gultha village of Mendhar is also facing acute shortage for water for the last about three weeks. The pipes are broken and motor at local pumping station was also out of order. They people claimed that the matter was brought to the notice of concerned officials but water supply could not be restored. |
