276 contractual posts yet to be filled despite seven months of advertisement | Recruitment in SSA at snail's pace | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 27: The officials of Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan(SSA) seems to be in deep slumber as seven months have passed since the advertisement, recruitment process for 276 contractual posts is yet to commence. Sources informed Early Times that in month of September 2017 the SSA advertised 276 contractual posts including 39 posts of Junior Engineers, 51 posts of Data Entry operators, 28 posts of computer Assistants 75 posts of Orderly/Chowkidars, 15 posts of Resource Teachers, 30 posts of Research Assistants, 13 posts of Assistant Programmers, nine posts each of Assistant Engineers and Auditors, one post each of Senior Auditor, Programmer and Accounts Clerk and four posts of Programme officer. "Despite clear direction of Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti to all head of government departments to speed up the process to hire people for state government services, SSA officials had failed to start further process reason best known to SSA Mission Director", sources said, adding that the Centrally Sponsored Scheme SSA has various goals to promote school education. Couple of years back, under the scheme, Union Government sanctioned number of works but most of them are yet to be taken because of lackadaisical approach of officials concerned of state government. "Construction of 99 Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya buildings was sanctioned by Union government couple of years back but till date construction work of only 69 buildings had been started", sources said. SSA Mission Director, A R War was not available for comments despite repeated calls. |
