BJP failed Jammu people: Kishore
3/27/2018 10:31:01 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 27: Lashing out at the ruling Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) for deceiving the people of Jammu region, the former minister and senior Congress leader Jugal Kishore Sharma said that the BJP has compromised on all its promises made before the polls as well as Jammu based issues just for the sake and lust of power.
Having exploited the innocence of the Jammu people during the elections, the BJP abandoned not only its ideology and fundamentals but took a complete u-turn over all its election time promises only for the lust of power, regretted Jugal Kishore Sharma.
Jugal Kishore Sharma was addressing the delegates-cum-workers meeting of Congress party at panchayat Mali in block and tehsil Mongri of district Udhampur.
Speaking on the occasion, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that even though the Jammuites whole heartedly supported the BJP during polls but after coming to power in partnership with the PDP, the saffron party did nothing to ensure development of Jammu province.
"The Jammu division has experienced negligible development during the last four years because the ruling BJP, who garnered votes in the name of Jammu, has completely ignored the hopes and aspirations of the Jammu people," said Jugal Kishore.
"The BJP has failed to check the growing discrimination with Jammu as it has completely surrendered before the PDP so as to enjoy the loaves of power," he added.
While referring to the lack of development in Bhamag area in the last decade, the senior Congress leader said that he sympathize with the people of Bhamag, who have expressed their resentment against the poor state of development in this large portion of Reasi Assembly Constituency in front of him.
Kishore said it is a well known fact that the roads here are in dilapidated condition, most of the villages are without the supply of drinking water and electricity while the health care institutions and schools are almost non-functional due to lack of doctors and teachers.
But who is responsible for this mess?, he asked the people, adding that BJP is the reason for the lack of development of Bhamag as the legislators elected since 2008 were representatives of the BJP, who have least care for the people of this far flung area of Reasi.
"Village Saddal is yearning for potable drinking water and electricity but nothing is being done. If the village Saddal is lacking in development despite of the fact that it has been adopted by Jitendra Singh then you can imagine the fate of other villages of Bhamag," said he.
