| PDD employees stage protest demonstration | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 27: Need based and casual labours of Power Development Department (PDD) today staged protest demonstration under the banner of J&K National Trade Union Front.
The protesters assembled outside the office of Chief Engineer Jammu and raised slogans for release of their pending wages for year together. The poor workers are at the verge of starvation and chief engineer including higher authorities of PDD are unbothered about wages even commissioner/Sect. PDD has not projected in wages of need base casual labours and finance Deptt till date but are utilizing the service of Casual Labours everywhere, they said.
Mohd Gafoor Dar State President J&K National Trade union warned the Chief engineer ME& RE for immediate release of wages of need base workers without further delay otherwise they would be compelled to laucn an agitation.
Those who addressed the protesters include Ashish Verma, Shamshair Singh, Shesh Kumar Bashir Ahmed. |
