POONCH, May 29: On the directions of District Development Commissioner Poonch Mohd Ajiaz Asad, Assistant Director Food and Supply Poonch Mohd Saghier and various other officials conducted market checking at Main market Poonch The checking was aimed at ensuring the quality and price control and to keep vigil on erring traders.
During inspection, the checking team realized fine of Rs 4500 on various shopkeepers for violating the legal regulations. About 50 Kg of rotten fruit/vegetable destroyed on spot. Speaking on the occasion, the Mohd Saghier said that such drives will be conducted on routine basis so that quality of commodities is ensured. He also urged traders not to violate the rules besides displaying the rate lists at their respective trade centers. |
