Jammu, May 29: An influential Inspector, who has already managed one posting in home district as Station House Officer, has again managed posting in one of the police stations in his native district Kathua.
The Inspector gets choicest posting, according to sources in the police department, because of the proximity he enjoys with politicians. Sources said that last year also the influential Inspector was posted in Kathua as SHO. Now he has returned to the district as SHO of another police station, said the sources. "The Inspector in question is not the first officer, and certainly he won't be the last, to manage his posting wherever he wants. As much as politicians need police officers, the latter need the former. The politician-police relationship in Jammu and Kashmir is a sort of quid pro quo," a senior police officer quipped.
