PDP MLA 'humiliated' in party function | | | Early Times Report ANANTNAG, May 29: The PDP legislator from Noorabad constituency of Kulgam, Abdul Majeed Padder was 'humiliated' by the party workers for provoking his cadre to create ruckus in a party meet held on Monday. As per reliable sources, the PDP legislator first raised objections over the presence of Manzoor Ahmad Zargar in the function following which his workers stood up and started shouting. Manzoor, son of late PDP leader Abdul Aziz Zargar rejoined the party in presence of Vice-President Sartaj Madni. Manzoor had left PDP in 2014 after he was denied ticket. His father was one of the founding members of PDP and was a minister in previous PDP-Congress coalition government. Sources said that presence of Manzoor infuriated PDP legislator, and to express his anguish he stepped down from the podium and conveyed his anguish to Vice-president who was on stage. The MLA's act provoked his workers, the sources said, adding workers created ruckus and party leaders somehow later managed to pacify them. However in the middle of ruckus, some PDP workers also protested against the MLA for creating indiscipline in the function and asked him to step down from the stage. Eyewitness said that MLA was several times asked to step down as according them he didn't deserve to be on stage with senior party leaders. "Someone who is being accused of having given patronage to a pimp doesn't deserve to be on stage," workers were heard shouting. Important to recall here, the Kulgam sex scandal victim had alleged that pimp lady currently in judicial custody was in touch with MLA Noorabad. PDP Vice-President Sartaj Madni on being asked about the incident said that no clash between the workers took place. "It was just a small uproar which is a democratic way," he said.
