MS Nazki5/30/2018 10:47:17 AM

Poonch, May 29: Highandedness of a police officer can be ganged by the fact that he thrashed a four contractual employee on duty without any reason, source said here today. Source said a contractual employee namely Rakesh Kumar was on duty near pumping station where tankers were filling water for supply. As per rules every tanker has to pay Rs 100 to Rs 200 after a proper GR in the meantime SDM Mendhar Dr Tanveer Khan and SDPO Mendhar Riyaz tantrey appearred in the scene and asked for GR to Rakesh. Before it Rakesh could reply SDPO thrashed the poor employee in full public view besides the presence of SDM
In fact the concerened JE and AE misquoted the Rakesh who told SDPO that he allows tankers to fill the water with out paying any amount. It has been made mandatory that small tankers have to pay Rs 100 and big tankers have to pay Rs 200 against a proper receipt before filling the water
As the concerned XEN has also issued an order that tankers can fill up their vehicle from this pumping station against a valid GR, the SDPO in a fit of anger thrashed the employee without any reason and took away Rakesh to lock up.
As soon other contractual employes CP worker learnt about it they came on roads and saged a protest demonstration against police and blocked the road far two hours.
Later on SDPO asked the protesters to lift the dharna and unblock the road but they refused lastly SDM Dr Tanveer Khan directed tehsildar Tariq Hussain who assured the protestors of appropriate action in the matter however, the protesters lifted the dharna and traffic was restored
