Early Times Report Srinagar, May 29 : Jammu and Kashmir Police has registered a case against six people, including a woman, for pelting stones at Power Development Department (PDD) officials, who were discharging their duties at Sopore in north Kashmir district of Baramulla. "On Monday, an officer of PDD, identified as AEE Farooq Ahmad, along with his staff went for distribution of load balance in Eidgah Mohallah of Chijama area of Sopore," a police spokesperson said. He said while performing their duty, seven to eight people, including women, pelted stones on the working staff and also looted 200 metres of ACSR wire from the spot. "In order to prevent any untoward incident, police party of Police Party Watergam reached on the spot. But the unruly mob also hurled stones on them," he added. He said police has registered a case against six people, including a woman, in connection with the case and initiated further investigation. |
