Union leader booked for misbehaving with DC

Kishtwar, May 29: District Megistrate Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana today directed SHO Police Station Kishtwar to lodge an FIR against one Joginder Bandari S/O Roshan Lal Bhandari R/O Bhandari Mohallah Kishtwar, a union leader for using abusive and unparliamentary language against the District Magistrate and creating ruckus in the office thereby disrupting the official business. The charges were denied by the Union leader who alleged political vendetta behind today's episode.
As per the press statement issued by the office of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, "In view of circulation of provocative and misleading information by him to instigate the unemployed youth of Kishtwar against the power Project Management of Pakal Dul Project and District Administration in the social media and mainstream media, one Joginder Bandari S/O Roshan Lal Bhandari R/O Bhandari Mohallah Kishtwar was called in the office of DM keeping in view the law and order priorities", the direction of DM reads.
"Keeping in veiw the sensitivity of the issue related to circulation of news which has instigated the unemployed youth, the District Magistrate advised the above said person regarding his acts and was suggested not to repeat his acts. He was informed that his acts were bound to create law and order problem in the district" the statement further read.
"The above said person instead of listening to the advice started using unparlimentary language against the DM", the DM communication to SHO reads.
The official statement stated that the officers including Imam Din (ADDC Kishtwar),Kishori Lal Sharma (ADC) and Yasir Balwan (CPO) were present in the office chamber tried to pacify him and asked him the reason for his misbehaviour, but the said person instead of listening to the officers started shouting and threatening.
SP Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary in his statement issued through Deputy Commisoner Kishtwar Office stated that the FIR has been lodged against the said person as FIR No. 140/2018, u/s 353, 504, 506 RPC in police station Kishtwar.
Meanwhile the associate of Bhandari while refuting the allegations said that he was slapped and beaten before taking into custody.
