| Carmel Convent organizes Inter House Dance Competition | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 29: To showcase the hidden talents, Carmel Convent Hr. Sec. School organized an Inter House Dance Competition in two groups i.e. Junior & Senior. The theme of the competition was 'Dance is the language of the soul', where eight groups from the four houses participated with great enthusiasm. Students wore colourful ethnic attires and showed their talents with excellent performances and enthralled the audience with their expressions. The fluid dance movements and fascinating props made it tough for the judges to decide the winner. The fun filled performances offered folk dance forms like Bihu, Sambalpuri, Dolu, Kannada etc. The judges appreciated the dance performances and highly complimented the efforts put in by all the four houses. In the Junior group Shakti House won the first prize where as Satya House and Shanti house stood second and third. In the Senior group first prize was bagged by Sneha house while the second and third prize went to Satya and Shakti House respectively. The School Principal Sr. Maria Swati a.c addressed the gathering and congratulated the winners. She also shared, 'I see dance being used as communication between body and soul, to express what is too deep for words.' The programme concluded with the vote of thanks followed by the school anthem. |
