Jammu, Sept 15: National conference-cum-Industry-Academia meet on "Opportunities and Challenges in Fermentation Based Industrial Processes" (IAMF-2018) organized by CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu (CSIR-IIIM) concluded successfully in the evening of 14-09-2018 after two days of intense deliberations on present state of knowledge and future of fermentation based industrial processes in J&K state and India. The event was primarily sponsored by DBT, SERB, DRDO, IIIM-TBI and Ministry of AYUSH. Large numbers of well-known dignitaries from Government, Industry and Academics participated in this event. Many well known personalities from the fields of Fermentation, Ayurveda and Medicine presented their work. High quality research work of scholars was displayed during poster session and various products & processes were displayed in the exhibition. First session of the day was chaired by Prof UC Banerjee and co-chaired by Pinakeen S Patel & Dr Bijen Choudhury. Key note lecture was presented by Dr DC Katoch, Ministry of AYUSH, whereas lead lectures of the session were presented by Prof Shankar Rao and Prof Pradeep Prajapati. Invited talks were presented by Prashantha Das and Ram N Kumar. Second session of the day was chaired by Prof V Arul and co-chaired by Dr Inshad Ali Khan. Key note lecture was presented by Prof Rama Chaudhry, AIIMS, whereas invited talks were given by Dr Raj Kumar, Dr Ravinder Kumar, Dr Bijender Bajaj, Shalvi Shah and Er Senthil Prasad. |
