DC Jammu cancels 20 illegal mutations of state land, suspends Tehsildar, Patwaris | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 15: Deputy Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar today cancelled 20 illegal mutations of more than 256 kanals of State Land in village Nagrota, Sitni, Khanpur, Jagti, Bamyal, Dung and Marh and placed Tehsildar and concerned Patwaries immediately under suspension. Acting on the complaints received from several quarters regarding illegal mutations of the State land in the said villages, Deputy Commissioner constituted an enquiry committee to look into the matter. The Enquiry committee found that 20 illegal mutations have been attested on State land measuring 256 kanals and 9 marlas in village Nagrota, Sitni, Khanpur, Jagti, Bamyal, Dung and Marh. The committee found that the revenue records have been tampered to facilitate the mutations on State Land. Even the mutations have been done for Gair Mumkin Choi, Jarh etc. All the said mutations have been attested during the period from August 2016 to February 2018. The said mutations have been attested by Tehsildar Nagrota Rajesh Kumar, three Patwaries namely Riaz Ahmed, Faquir Ahmed and Arvinder Singh and accordingly all of them were placed under suspension with immediate effect. |
