| Dr Deepak elected gen secy of AROINZC | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 15: In recently concluded elections of Association of Radiation Oncologists of India North Zone Chapter, Dr Rakesh Kapoor Professor and Unit Head Department of Radiation Oncology PGIMER Chandigarh has been elected unopposed as President while Dr Deepak Abrol Radiation Oncologist working in Govt Medical College Jammu has been elected as general secretary.
The results were announced by Dr K T Bhowmik from Safdarjung hospital New Delhi in Annual General Body Meeting at Chandigarh. Dr Bhowmik was chief election commissioner. Dr Neeraj Jain and Dr Manish Pandey were elected as Senior and junior vice Presidents while Dr pradeep Garg as Editor in chief of Asian journal of Clinical Oncology the journal being published by NZAROI. Dr Rahul Sharma Associate Professor Radiation Oncology GMC Jammu was nominated as Treasurer.
Dr Rakesh Kapoor elected President is an internationally renowned RADIATION oncologist who basically hails from Jammu while Dr Deepak Abrol who is elected General Secretary is Cancer specialist working in Jammu and involved in various cancer awareness activities and is founder of LBN RADIATIONS OF HOPE a cancer care foundation working for Cancer Awareness in various remote areas of Jammu Province. |
