Hunger strike of TJAC enters 27th day

Jammu, Sept 25: Indefinite Chain Hunger Strike of Teachers' Joint Action Committee (TJAC) entered 27th consecutive day at Jammu and 23rd Day at Srinagar. The ongoing indefinite Chain Hunger Strike Of Teachers' joint Action Committee ( TJAC)at Press Club Jammu today on 25th of September 2018 entered 27th consecutive day whereas it entered 23rd consecutive day at Srinagar.
Today's hunger strike at Jammu was organized under the leadership of State President Vinod Sharma, State Chief Coordinator Sukhdev Singh Sumbria and District President Samba Dinesh Singh . A large number of teachers on the occasion also held a strong sit in protest demonstration against the casual approach of the government towards SSA teachers and masters who have been deprived of 7th Pay Commission till date and their salaries have not been delinked. The teachers who sat on 24 hour fast today morning included Dinesh Singh, Ranjit Singh, Suresh Kumar, Raghubir Singh, Jimmy Sambyal , Vimal Singh, Balkar Singh, Subash Atri , Bishan Shastri , Kabal Singh Surinder Sharma and Bodh Raj.
While addressing the gathering at Jammu Vinod Sharma accused the government over its non seriousness towards SSA teachers and masters whose families are living in mental trauma. He said that due to the casual approach of the government these teachers are unable to basic necessities to their family members.
