9/25/2018 10:23:17 PM
Early Times Report

Samba, Sept 25: Unabated encroachment on custodian land has been going on in railway station area of Samba but the officers of the department have adopted a cryptic silence, due to alleged nexus with the encroachers. According to the sources, some people have been constructing house and shops in the custodian land along railway station area of Samba under the nose of the officers. Instead of taking action the officers have adopted silence due to alleged nexus with the encroachers. Moreover, the encroachers have also been selling custodian but no action has been taken.
Sources claimed when the construction of house was started by the encroacher, the department was informed by some people and the inspector of the department had gone to stop the work but after few months, the construction restarted and no officer came to stop the illegal work. Hari Ram a local of the village said, "We were constructing Ravi Dass temple in our village, the wall of the temple was almost completed but the inspector of the said department come in the village and demolished the structure of the temple". "If the inspector can demolish a temple wall, why he is reluctant to demolish illegal structure it is million dollar question", he said.
