Jammu, Sept 25: NSS Unit GDC Akhnoor celebrated NSS Foundation day in the college Seminar Hall.
The programme started with the lighting of ceremonial lamp by the chief guest of the function Principal, Prof. Kuldeep Raj Sharma accompanied with Dr. Chander Shekhar, Prof. Ashok Kumar and Prof. Tarsem Lal.
On the occasion NSS Volunteers recited poems and delivered speeches on the importance of NSS day. Afterwards, NSS pledge was also taken by staff and students of the college. Speaking on the occasion principal of the college applauded the efforts of NSS Volunteers and staff for their initiative in organizing such programmes. He also spoke about the importance of NSS in student life and career. He motivated students to participate in such event which can make them a good citizen of the country by contributing in form of social service.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Mamta Sharma, Asstt. Prof in Sanskrit and Prof. Sonia Bhau Asstt. Prof. in Commerce. Prof. Jyoti Sharma, Prof. D.N. Sharma and Prof. Sunil Kumar among others were also present. |
