Poonch, Sept 25: Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Poonch of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & technology of Jammu organized a Debate cum Poster competition on Swachtaa Hi Sewa for students of B. Ed College Poonch in which more than 70 students and teachers participated. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ajay Gupta I/c. Sr. Scientist & Head, informed the participants that Swachtaa Hi Sewa programme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 15th September, 2018. Dr. Gupta requested the students to participate actively for the cause of clean India and also urged them to launch a community level campaign regarding sanitation in their college, wards, villages or towns for achieving the dream of clean India. Many students participated in the debate competition and presented their views on importance of cleanliness and swachtaa programme. Ramesh Sharma Principal B.Ed college asked the students to take a pledge on this occasion that they will adopt the habit of cleanliness in daily life and also educate their near ones regarding the importance of swachtaa. He expressed the need for organizing sewa programmes at parks, streets and community places. At the end of prgramme, prizes and certificates were distributed among the participants of debate and Poster competition.
