Lord Mahavira Playway School celebrates Gandhi Jayanti

Jammu, Oct 3: With an aim to rekindle the love for Mahatma Gandhi among the students, Lord Mahavira Playway School celebrated Gandhi Jayanti in the school premises today.
A ceremonial lamp was lighted to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Father of Nation-Mahatama Gandhi. The tiny tots offered garlands to the picture of Gandhiji and lit candles in his fond memory.
The air reverberated with patriotism when the tiny tots of Lord Mahavira Playway School sang songs in the praise of Father of Nation and paid rich tribute to him. Anecdotes from Gandhiji's life were shared with the tiny tots and they were made aware about the doctrines of Bapu.
The students were also shown a slide-show on the inspiring life of Mahatama Gandhi which was followed by the distribution of sweets amongst the students.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Principal, Anuradha Saraf threw light on teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and encouraged all to take an oath to follow Gandhian principles in order to make world a better place for the tiny tots. Seema Anand Coordinator of school was also present on the school.
