Jammu, Oct 3: The weeklong celebrations organized by Government Degree College Akhnoor on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti concluded.
The valedictory function was inaugurated by the chief guest principal of the college Prof. Kuldeep Raj Sharma with the lightening of ceremonial lamp.
The function started with symposium on 'truth and Non- Violence in which Rashmi Singh , Parmeet Kour and Prerna stood Ist, 2nd and 3rd adjudged by the Prof. Tarsem Lal, Prof. Jyoti Sharma and Prof. Dinesh Jamwal. The symposium was coordinated by Prof. Mamta Sharma. Afterwards quiz on topic "Gandhian life and freedom struggle" held in which four teams participated. Team of Ankush, Sahil & Manvi declared winner.
The quiz competition was coordinated by Dr. Jagmeet Kour Khajuria & Kamla Dev, faculty of Dept. of History. In the end, NSS volunteers Surya,Harish & Rashmi were also given prizes for their contribution in weeklong celebrations on birth Anniversary of Mahatama Gandhi.
Prof. Chander Shekhar, Prof. Pavanjeet Bali, Prof. Sonia Bhau, Prof. Manmeet kour, prof. Deepak Kumar & Prof. Sunil Kumar among others were also present. |
