MAM College organizes symposium

Jammu, Oct 3: NSS wing of Govt. MAM College Jammu organized a symposium on the topic Drug Abuse & misuse of liquor- its symptoms and solutions, to commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
The programme was initiated by lightening of candles and paying floral tributes to the Father of the Nation followed by the keynote address by Prof. S.C Sharma (H.O.D Sanskrit) who threw light on the evil effects of drugs & liquor and how it should be curbed and the youth should have the courage to say "No" to them.
Dr. Romesh Chander Principal of the College appreciated the efforts of NSS volunteers and Programme officers for organizing such events for the betterment of the society. 31 volunteers of NSS participated in the event and took a pledge not to indulge in drugs and liquor and also to aware the society about its evil effects.
The programme was coordinated by Dr. Sangeeta Sudan and vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Devinder Sharma. Prominent among the faculty members present on the occasion were Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul Coordinator IQAC, Prof. Bindu, Prof. Rashu Sharma and Prof. Jasvinder Singh.
