Jammu, Oct 3: A series of social and cultural programmes were organized at Purkhoo Campus of Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions in which students of IECS Polytechnic participated in two weeks long cleanliness drive under "Swachhta Hi Sewa Campaign" from 18th September to 2nd October 2018.
The staff and students carried on a campaign in order to make the campus free from litter, garbage, polythene and parthenium grass. Students also took out a procession in the near by rural localities displaying placards depicting importance of cleanliness.
A symposium was held to pay tributes to the father of nation on occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Students and faculty members spoke about the life and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi and relevance of Gandhian Philosphy in present scenario, Gandhiji's favourite bhajans were also recited.
Other's present during the occasion were Prof. K.G Gupta, Principal IECS Polytechnic, Er. Ajay Singh Jamwal, Dean Administration Er. Amit Sharma, Vice- Principal cum HOD, Computer Engg. Deptt.& HOD's of all departments i.e. Er. Gurbachan Singh, Er. H.N. Bhat, Er. Vijay Singh Chib, Er. Daljeet Kour, Prof. Anil Warikoo and Er. Megha Koul were the coordinators for the event. |
