Early Times Report Doda, Oct 3 : The Indian Army in collaboration with state police busted a terrorist hideout in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir and recovered a large number of arms and ammunition. The recoveries included two AK rifles, 355 rounds, and three magazines, one UBGL (underbarrel grenade launchers), four Chinese grenades and as many UBGL grenades, a defence spokesperson said. Acting proactively on a tipoff, the Army and police launched a joint operation in Kuddhararea of Kastigarh in Doda and raided a terrorist hideout which was housing a large number of arms and ammunition. The arms and ammunition recovered from the spot include 2 AK-47, 03 magazines, 355 Rds, 1 Under-barrel Grenade Launchers (UBGL), 4 UBGL Gren and 4 Chinese Grenade. The recovery of the cache has thwarted the nefarious plans of the terrorist outfits to launch any such lethal strike in the region. Earlier on May 25, a militant hideout was busted in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district and four weapons, 23 explosive devices and a large quantity of ammunition were seized. Troops of 58 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and police launched a search operation and busted a hideout at Margoti area under Gool Police Station. |
