JTC, SKF hold meeting, highlight problems being faced by community

Jammu, Oct 3: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K was held here today under the Chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, and discussed different problems being faced by the Migrant community in general.
Addressing the participants Shadi Lal Pandita has said that Relief Organisation taken up repairs/renovation of the residential quarters by providing and laying of floor/wall tiles for ensuring renovation of the quarters and work had taken up by the concerned agencies allotted contracts, including repairs of roofs, kitchen, bathrooms crack and leakages.
He said that the works have been stopped the reasons not known to the residents of this Migrant Township. He also said that it seems that some vested interests have managed their influence in getting the execution of repair works stopped which is grave injustices.
He demanded that the Relief Organization should ensure execution of the repair/renovation on works without any further delay besides had demanded the reasons for stopping the repair works.
A demand was made for providing of fencing (boundary wall) of the township complex with providing of entry gates at entry/exist points for smooth entry of the locals of this area.
Pandita said that the secretary to Government Relief and Rehabilitation had assured on his visit of Jagti Migrant Township that three bore well shall be got constructed for ensuring smooth drinking water supplies and also assumed on his visit that all repair works and other works shall be Govt. completed upto ending January 2019 that is before Shivratri festival but nothing in this regard has been done till date.
