| Drug peddler held with heroin | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Oct 3: Continuation to the drive against menace of drugs, Police of Sub Division RS Pura recovered 2.2 grams of Heroin like substance and arrested one accused.
Police spokesman said that Police party headed by ASI Ghulam Nabi established a naka at Sunderpur road under the jurisdiction of Police station RS Pura.
"During naka checking police party found one pedestrian on the way from Sunderpur toward RS Pura and on seeing the police party he tried to flee away from the spot", said spokesman adding that the naka party successfully overpowered the said person.
Spokesman further said that on questioning the said person disclosed his name as Ankush Balam of RS Pura and during his personal search a packet containing 2.2 gms of heroine like substance recovered from the possession of the said accused person.
In this regard, a case under FIR No.130/2018 under section 8121/22 NDPS Act has been registered at police station RS Pura and investigation of the case entrusted to SI Sudesh Kumar.
The arrest of the said drug peddler/addict made by police party under the close supervision of Inspector Bishnesh Kumar-SHO RS Pura, DySP Sourabh Prashar-SDPO RS Pura, RC Kotwal-SP Headquarters Jammu and over all supervision of Vivek Gupta-SSP Jammu. |
