| ADC stops salaries of erring teachers, staff | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Oct 3: On the directions of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kotranka, the Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) has stopped the salaries of the staff of three government schools for alleged poor standard of academics and mismanagements in these schools.
In this connection the instructions were issued by the ADC who had paid surprise visit to these schools.
Ved Parkash , ADC, Kotranka in Rajouri district on September 28 had paid surprise visit to government middle schools at Dramman and Daraj and primary school at Kotranka.
"During detailed inspection of the schools and interaction with the students , ADC found academic standard of the students below average, class work was not properly checked since long time, mid day meal was not served as per menu, school records were not properly maintained till date" said ZEO.
Taking the matter seriously, ADC directed ZEO, Kotranka to call explanations from the headmasters/ in-charge teachers of the schools for the negligence on their part for further action.
"The salaries of the staff posted at these schools shall remain withheld till the improvement of the academic standard of the students" said ZEO in the order.
He added stern action under rules will be initiated against the defaulter teachers in future if they failed to improve the working in the schools" said ZEO. |
