Early Times Report JAMMU, Nov 26:North Zone cultural centre, Patiala, Ministry of culture, Govt. of India in collaboration with Sangeet Milon, Lucknow and Arohi Sangeet Vidyalaya, conducted live audition of state level for classical voice of India-2018 at Jammu. More than thirty five contestants' have participated in classical music under different categories in vocal, Tabla, Santoor and Violin. Participants included from Jammu, Udhampur, Kathua, Kashmir and also 5 contestants' from visually imparred. It may not be out of place to mention that Arohi Sangeet is the oldest and most active cultural society of the State. It provides free training in classical music to poor and specially abled students and provides stage to local Artists. Arohi has also credit to get this state audition conducted to promote classical music in our state. Winners declared under different categories in Tabla were, Ridma bajpai 1st Prize, Sarvaan gupta 2nd and Pragati Sharma 3rd were as in Vocal Ridma bajpai 1st, Suhani abrol 2nd and Sarvaan gupta 3rd and in middle group Aablas Sharma 1st, Ramjhim gupta 2nd, Anmol kumar 3rd Prize. The above toppers were given Gold medal, Silver medal and Bronze medal along with certificates respectively. The programme was well organized and conducted by R.K Tikoo, a well known socio-culture activist of the state. Among others present were Director NZCC, Patiala, Bodh raj lamsal, G.M, Mango Hotels, CA Rajeev Gupta, Rajesh Ojha, Harish Kaila and Vijay Sambyal. |
