11/26/2018 11:11:11 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 26: There is competing among Kashmir centric parties namely National Conference and PDP to shed tears on the killings of terrorists in the on going operation all out being started by security forces included Army and J&K Police but thear parties don't have time to pay tributes to soldier from Lance Naik Bazar Ahmed Wani, who attained martyrdom while fighting with terrorists on Sunday.
These parties have not uttered a single word for the martyr and they are only concerned over terrorists and their sympathisers. The whole J&K is proud of the martyrdom of Nazir Ahmed Wani but NC and PDP leaderships lack courage to pay tributes to the local martyr. Shockingly national party like CPM is also selective in condemning such killing of soldier.
Meanwhile Army on Monday paid floral tribute to Lance Naik Nazir Ahmed Wani who attained martyrdom in a gunfight with the militants in south Kashmir's Shopian district on Sunday.
Six militants were killed in the gunfight that raged for hours in Batgund village of Kapran area of the district yesterday.
In a solemn ceremony at BB Cantt, Lt Gen AK Bhatt, Chinar Corps Commander and all ranks, paid homage to the slain soldier, said an army spokesman.
"Nazir Ahmed Wani form Kulgam district of south Kashmir was a highly decorated soldier and had been twice awarded Sena Medal for gallantry in August 2007 and in August 2018," said the spokesman
Lance Naik Nazir Ahmed Wani (38) had joined the Army in 2004.
He belonged to Village Cheki Ashmuji of Kulgam Tehsil in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir and is survived by his wife and two children.
His mortal remains were taken for last rites to his native place, where he would be laid to rest with full military honours, added the spokesman.
In this hour of grief, he said, the Army stands in solidarity with his bereaved family and remains committed to their dignity and wellbeing.
