Jammu, Nov 26: The Department of Youth Services and Sports Jammu and Kashmir today organized state level cricket tournament for under 14 boys at Sports stadium Hiranagar. According to press release, the tournament was inaugurated by Sub Division Magistrate Hiranagar Suresh Kumar Sharma in the presence of Tehsildar Hiranagar Avtar Singh, Zonal Physical Education Officers Yog Raj Sharma and Rajesh Kumar and other officials. The tournament is being organised on the basis of best of 3. The first match which was inaugurated by the SDM was won by Kashmir division by six wickets. Jammu opted to bat after winning toss and made 73 runs in prescribed 16 overs. In reply, Kashmir Division achieved the target in 14th over by losing four wickets. Siddharth and Dhruv of Jammu made 12 and 18 runs respectively while Azahid of Kashmir collected 29 runs in 39 overs with 3 boundaries and remained not out. Similarly, Mohib added 27 runs in 31 balls with 4 boundaries. Today's matches were appreciated by officiated by Avinash Kumar, Mohan Lal, Tarsem Sharma, Omkar Singh, kulbushan Singh and others. |
