Three killed, 12 injured in road mishap | | | Early Times Report
RAMBAN, July 31: Three persons were killed while twelve other were injured when a vehicle they were travelling skidded off from road and rolled down into deep gorge of about 200 feet near Kunfer Nallah of Chanderkote area of district Ramban this evening. The ill-fated vehicle Tempo bearing registration no JK02AW-0657 was on the way from Jammu to Srinagar when this accident occurred. After getting information police, civil QRT alongwith Army personnel and locals rushed on spot and started rescue operation. All the injured persons were shifted to District Hospital Ramban from where some of them were referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for further treatment. The injured who were referred to GMCH Jammu were identified as Sandeep Singh son of Mahinder Singh resident of Ganga Nagar, Rajistan, Zakir Miya (34) son of Okil Miya resident of Bihar, Mohd Aslam (25) son of Jumania resident of Bihar, Ansar ul Haq son of Itu Miya (30) resident of Bihar, Shankar Yadav (20) son of Parsad resident of Bihar and Varinder Kumar son of Buva resident of Jammu. While six injured who were under going treatment at District Hospital Ramban including Sukhdev son of Mahinder Singh resident of Vijay Nagar, Rajistan, Ikram Kholi (29) son of Abdul Haq resident of Bantalab, Jammu, Prem Yadav (30)son of Prasad Yadav resident of Bitya, Bihar, Wazir son of Ram Bhagat (29) resident of Haryana, Baleshwar Ram son of Burcha Ram (35) resident of Bihar and Ubaid (17) son of Farooq Ahmed Bhat resident of Pattan Kashmir The deceased were identified as Mohd Khalil (driver) son of Ab Gani resident of Alinbass, Sanjay Kumar son of Ramesh Kumar resident of Haryana were succumbed to their injuries at DH Ramban while one un-identified dead body was brought at hospital. A case in this regard was also registered and further investigation is on. |
