Early Times Report Jammu, July 31: Editor Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Wednesday said that people only can change Jammu's destiny. Carrying forward his mass contact programme in different areas for the 68th consecutive day today, Munish said, "I have been meeting people to ascertain the ground realities. No one can become a leader without reaching out to people. I have been trying to know what's hurting a common man and what his requirements are?" "People in most areas have been craving for the basic amenities for the past so many years. The leaders whom the people voted for have failed to do anything for them," said Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an Independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency. He said, "If people of Jammu really want to change their destiny and make this city a better place to live then they will have to stand on their own feet. The forthcoming Assembly elections are a golden opportunity for the people to change the system. They need to think carefully before casting their vote. Proper use of their right to choose the candidate can help them in electing the representative, who would stand by them always." Munish said, "People need to change their mindset and vote for the candidates, who can do justice with them. If I win I promise my people that I will become their voice and will stand by them whenever they need me." He said, "I assure my people that I won't let them down." |
