Waive off water, electricity bills: Hari Singh 3/24/2020 9:16:46 PM Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 24: Former Minister and senior Congress leader Mula Ram and President DCC Rural, Hari Singh Chib urged the Lt Governor to waive off the water and electricity bills for the month of March and April 2020 in view of coronavirus. In a statement issued here on Monday, the senior congress leader asked government to come up with concrete relief measures for a larger section of the society whose livelihood has got affected by restrictions imposed by the authorities in view of Coronavirus outbreak in Jammu and Kashmir. Mula Ram said that on one hand such restrictions are the need of the hour to tackle the spread of this deadly disease while on the other hand government should also take necessary steps to mitigate the sufferings of people affected by these restrictions. He appealed to the J&K Government to announce waive-off water and electricity bills for aforesaid months so that people who are affected due to restrictions would get a sigh of relief in the hour of crisis. Hari Singh Chib raised serious concern over the plight of families whose livelihood has got badly hit due to these mandatory restrictions. He expressed resentment against the Jammu and Kashmir Government for being a mute spectator to their miseries and sufferings of common masses.
