Omar toes father's line, prefers silence on 370 Abrogation
Have Abdullah's discreetly signed release bonds?

Early Times Report
jammu, Mar 24: Both the senior as well as junior Abdullah are free now. However, their silence over the scarping of Article 370 has set the social media here on storm with most widely discussed question emerging: Whether the father- son duo has secretly signed the bond?
Prior to the release of Dr Farooq and Omar Abdullah, the mainstream politicians released from custody have signed the bond that they shall not instigate people against Article 370 abrogation.
However, the government while setting Dr Farooq Abdullah free from custody on March 13 simply revoked his PSA detention order. The authorities didn't divulge whether the bond has been signed by the NC patriarch or not. Ten days later, when Dr Farooq's son has been released after serving detention of more than seven months, there hasn't been any news of about the bond signing either.
However, netizens seem curious over the issue and speculations on social media are rife that the Abdullahs must have signed the bonds to secure their release from incarceration.
Also, when Omar walked free from Hari Niwas, he was surrounded from all sides by the journalists who were eager to know his views on Article 370 abrogation. Omar toed his father's line and preferred not to speak on this issue. He cited the ongoing COVID-19 threat as the major reason for maintaining silence. However, his father, when he was set free chose a different reason to stay away from the issue of Article 370. He maintained that he will not speak till the politicians detained by the government aren't freed.
Meanwhile, the silence maintained by the Abdullahs over scraping of the special status looks stoic. "They must have signed the bonds to get themselves released. Who knows whether there is some deal involved in the matter," was how one netizen commented over the issue.
Last week, National Conference President and Member of Parliament Dr Farooq Abdullah asked people to follow health advisories following the unprecedented situation in face of coronavirus threat. Scores of delegations from across Kashmir called on Abdullah at his residence to greet him on his release. The delegations comprising of workers, party functionaries, delegates and civil society groups had come from Shopian, Langate, Zadibal, Hazratbal, Pulwama, Charar- e- Sharief, Chadooora, Kokarnag, Baramulla, Anantnag, Shangus, Qazigund constituencies. As the participants and the media persons attending the event were expecting Abdullah to break his silence on 370 issue, the veteran politician surprised everyone and talked Coronavirus and not the special status.
On Tuesday, Omar echoed the words of his father Dr Farooq Abdulalh and demanded Government of India must release all prisoners detained on August 5 last year irrespective of their party affiliations and that 4-G internet services should be restored so that people learn how to fight the deadly Covid-19.
Talking to reporters at his Gupkar residence, soon after he was released from almost eight month long detention by the J&K government, Omar said that as far as Artic le 370 and 35 A, he will speak on the issues openly in detail later. "At present, I will speak about how we can get rid of Covid-19. We are fighting a big fight against Coronavirus. Today, when we were asked to maintain social distancing, here we are together violating the very orders," he said.
