JKHCBAJ appeals public to honour “lockdown”
3/24/2020 10:20:37 PM
Early Times Report

JAMMU, Mar 24: Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association Jammu (JKHCBAJ) today made an appeal to people to hnour the “lockdown” instruction issued by the Central Government and the Union Territory of J&K.
In a press release issued here today, the JKHCBAJ earnestly appeals to one and all, that unless they want a situation like that in Italy, in China, in Iran and in US and European Countries, where tens of thousands have tested positive for the deadly disease and deaths are occurring at the average rate of more than 100 per day, and unless, they want harsher step of imposition of curfew, they should honour the “lockdown” and stay at their homes in order to save their own lives, those of their family members and the people around.
Observation of “Stay Home” norm is the only ray of hope in the present situation as no medicine of the deadly virus is available at present
President JKHCBAJ, Abhinav Sharma said that the whole world is passing through a very critical and unprecedented phase of its existence, when it is jointly and individually fighting a common enemy in the shape of COVID-19 virus, commonly called Corona virus.
This novel virus unknown and undefined enemy till date, started spreading its tentacles in the month of December 2019 and appeared in Wuhan province of China.
Sharma said that India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the challenge in right earnest and took right steps at the right time.
The Prime Minister has himself taken the command of the crusade in his own hands and leading from the front, called for breaking the “Chain” of the deadly disease and with this view called for “Janta Curfew” on March 22, which whole of country responded positively and made “Janta Curfew” a grand success.
He said that much more danger from the deadly novel disease may be in store for us in India, if the people do not foresee the coming storm and do not voluntarily observe the norm “Stay home, be safe and defeat Corona”. “Stay Home” is the only mantra, which is required to be observed in order to break the “chain” of the deadly disease, he added.
Such a step was necessitated because in India the number of persons testing positive rose to 471 plus and the number of deaths rose to 10. JNF
