Chenani, Aug 17: Govt. Degree College, Chenani celebrated 74th Independence Day with utmost fervour, zest and a spirit of patriotism. The various programs held in the College were essay writing on ‘Vision of New India, 2050’, Poster making on ‘Heritage Monuments of India’ and online quiz on ‘Indian National Movement’. The students of the college displayed their unmatched skills by crafting out posters digitally as well as manually by drawing, sketching, painting, writing etc. and participated in online quiz, essay writing with full enthusiasm and zeal, these activities allowed the students to revisit the rich and glorious history of India. The students of the College presented their ideas on the Vision of New India which is free from the scourge of poverty, corruption, terrorism, communalism and casteism. India, one of the oldest civilizations in the world with a kaleidoscopic variety and rich cultural heritage, has achieved all-round socio-economic progress since Independence. As the 7th largest country in the world, India stands apart from the rest of Asia, not only being marked off as it is by mountains and the sea, which give the country a distinct geographical entity, it is forging ahead in different sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, space research, telecommunication and nuclear power through scientific research. Dr. Pragya Khanna, Principal of the college announced that e-certificates will be given to all the participants. The programme was organised under the patronage of the Principal and the members of the organizing team included Prof. Sajad Ahmad Najar, Prof. Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, Prof. Muzamil Ahmad Dar and Prof. Manesh Verma. |
