Power cuts in Jammu, matter of concern, add to woes of Covid-19 patients: Tajinder | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 9: Social political activist Sardar Tajinder Singh said frequent power cuts, low voltage and fluctuations in entire urban and rural areas of Jammu is matter of concern as temperature is at its peak and people especially covid19 patients which are in home quarantine are in distress during these power cuts as life saving equipments like oxygen concentrator are run by the electricity. Tajinder said that on one hand the JPDCL is charging hefty bills from the consumer and on other hand the department is fail to maintain round the clock power supply as promised by the department after installing heavy and costly equipments at grid stations to give interrupted 24×7 power supply to its consumers under the scheme given by Government of India. Tajinder appeals to LG to intervene into the matter and direct the official of power department to solve the problem on priority as power cuts are playing havoc in the season of scorching summer. |
