15 days on, Vijaypur CCC without facilities | If money has been sanctioned then why delay, asks Sarpanch | | Gurdas Kumar
Early Times Report
Samba, June 9: In view of the second wave of Corona epidemic in Jammu and Kashmir, as per the orders of the Lieutenant Governor, Covid-19 Isolation Center has been set up in a big hall in Vijaypur Panchayat, Swankha Morh. Instead of five beds, only three beds have been placed and only one fan has been made functional in the hall. The LG had sanctioned Rs 1 lakh for these centers in each panchayat. Sarpanch Baldev Raj said that it was a good step taken by the Lieutenant Governor but these centers are yet to get basic facilities required to fight the pandemic. “We are not well prepared, as there are only three out five proposed beds in the hall. The block office has given us bed sheets, pillows and medicines”, he added. “If money has been sanctioned then why beds are not being provided. It has been more than 15 days neither the medical staff has been posted nor there is any facility in the center,” he added. He said that today after 15 days the oxygen cylinders were provided to panchayats. “We do not even know how to put them”, he added. |
