Early Times Report

Poonch, July 2: The overstaying lower rung officials at various government departments in the Rajouri and Poonch districts have been violating transfer policy by using their influence at higher ups.
There are several departments which have been grappling with overstaying employees particularly at lower rung, who have been creating problems for the general public to get their work done due to their interference.
Police officials at lower rung posted in Police stations have created such a nexus that people have to face lot of problems while facing any issues. These officials mislead their senior officials according to their will.
“It has been observed that many innocent people have to face problems due to unprofessional attitude of these overstaying officials only for their vested interests,” they alleged. Similarly in Revenue Department no work is done without greasing the palms of their officials and in all this the overstaying Patwaris and other officials have been found involved in the bad practices.
The condition of other civil departments is also same where general public had to visit for their officials work done. The civil societies of Rajouri & Poonch districts have appealed the LG to take note of the problems so that guaranteed public delivery service could reach the common people.
