| Chamber hails Central Govt to include retail, wholesale trades as MSMEs | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 3:An urgent meeting was held at the chamber house under the presentialship of Arun Gupta, along with the office bearers in which Arun Gupta hailed the recent announcement made by the Minister of MSMEs and Road Transport and highways Nitin Gadkari, includes retail and whole sale Traders as MSMEs in revised guidelines under the dynamic leadership of PM Narendra Modi Ji.
It is pertinent to mention here that the long pending demand of the Traders fraternity and especially the announcement made by the Central Government in this time of Pandemic crises has its importance and means a lot for our trader's fraternity. The Revised guidelines will benefit 2.5 crores Retail and Wholesale Traders.
Before this announcement, the definition of MSMEs includes manufacturing and service enterprise, whereas retail and wholesale trade was not classified under the scheme; now, after the inclusion of retailers and wholesale traders under the MSMEs can avail the benefits of priority sector lending under RBI guidelines. Chamber President appeals to the Traders fraternity to get register with the MSMEs to avail the benefits of various schemes at large.
