| Udhampur admin holds district-wide awareness campaign on Covid prevention | | |  Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, July 3: To sensitize the common masses about the Covid-19 protection, block wise awareness campaign under Information Education Communication (IEC) programme was today organized by District Administration Udhampur.
The IEC campaign was launched by Deputy Commissioner, Indu Kanwal Chib. A large-scale participation of Officers/Officials and PRIs of different blocks was witnessed in the campaign.
Field functionaries of the Rural Development Department made aware the public through announcements and distributed pamphlets among the masses in their respective areas about Covid-19 and appealed to them to adhere to the Covid appropriate behavour. A series of IEC activities were conducted in different blocks of the district with the help of PRIs.
BDOs and field functionaries also advised the public to follow basic protocols like wearing double face masks, using hand sanitizer, washing hands with soap frequently and maintaining social distance. They informed the public that precautions are the necessary tools for the further containment of COVID-19.
The DC appealed the general public to join hands with the District Administration in the fight against Covid-19 and sought cooperation of PRIs and civil society in spreading awareness among the masses regarding Covid appropriate behavior. |
