Palash Protim of Assam featured by Natrang in National Theatre Talk Show

Jammu, July 3: Natrang’s National Theatre Talk Show, ‘Young Voices of Theatre’ featured National School of Drama alumni, theatre, film and TV actor, director, Palash Protim Mech today who shared his inspiring views with the global audience at the Facebook page of Natrang Jammu.
Director Natrang, Balwant Thakur informed that this unique talk show has featured highly acclaimed young voices of theatre spread across the country who have earned a distinctive name for themselves with their outstanding contribution in the field of contemporary theatre and this effort of Natrang is reverberating at National Art Circles.
Born and brought up in Gargaon in Assam, Palash Protim Mech, graduate in Physics completed his three years Post-graduation in Dramatic Arts with specialization in Acting from the National School of Drama, New Delhi and worked as an Actor in National School of Drama Repertory Company for six years. He has the credit of participating in many National and International Theatre Festivals as Actor and Director. Palash has worked with eminent theatre directors of the country like; Khalid Tyabji, Shashidhar Achariya, Nasiruddin Shah, Adil Hussain, Dinesh Khanna, Maya Rao, Tripurari Sharma, Anuradha Kapoor, Kirti Jain, Ranjit Kapoor, Neelam Mansingh Chowdhary, M.K. Raina, Ram Gopal Bajaj, Robin Das, D.R. Ankur, Bhanu Bharati, Rajendra Nath, Chetan Dattar, C.R. Jambe, K.S. Rajendran, Hema Singh, Sanjeev Hazarika, Rabijita Gogoi and Waman Kendre and more,
In an interesting conversation with Nartang’s senior artist Neeraj Kant, Palash narrated his journey of theatre. He got a creative atmosphere in his surroundings in childhood which inspired him to do theatre. A curious actor, Palash always used to observe a lot which has helped him a lot.
He likes to do a lot of experimentation in his works. Speaking about training at National School of Drama, he states that NSD training requires a strong conviction as it is not an easy process, it activates a person both physically and mentally and is a 24x7 process which focuses on the ability of each and every student.
He gratefully acknowledged that NSD has helped him a lot by giving a chance to broaden his vision. Moreover it has imparted more confidence to him and resultantly he became more expressive and has introduced flexibility of body and mind to him.
