GDC Khour, DLL JU organize online Career Awareness Programme

JAMMU, Oct 12: Career Counselling Cell of Govt Degree College (GDC) Khour in collaboration with Employment Information-cum-Advisory Bureau, Department of Lifelong Learning (DLL), University of Jammu organized one day Career Counselling awareness programme. The theme of the programme was “Career Options for Graduates”. Dr Virender Koundal, Associate Professor, Department of Economics, University of Jammu, and Dr Ritu Bakshi, Associate Professor, Department of Education, Central University of Jammu were the resource persons for the programme. Dr Koundal educated the students about the significance of career counselling especially in the present scenario. He also informed the students about career options in banking & allied fields and discussed about the various competitive examinations after graduation. Dr Ritu Bakshi spoke about career options in Education after Graduation & Post Graduation. The programme was held under the guidance of Prof Rama Badyal, Principal of the college and overall supervision of Dr Kavita Puri, Director, DLL, University of Jammu. The whole event was organized by Prof Gurvinder Kour, Convenor, Career Counselling Cell, GDC Khour and coordinated by Dr Rewa Khajuria, Counsellor, DLL, JU. About hundred students attended this awareness programme. The Principal of the College appreciated the joint efforts by both the institutions and expressed gratitude to the resource persons for sparing their valuable time for the informative deliberation on the subject.
