Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 24: A virtual meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) was held under the chairmanship of Ganesh Khajuria, UT Chairman. The meeting was attended by senior leaders of Forum wherein several points were highlighted and discussed in detail. The Forum demanded to give earned leave benefits in favour of teachers, masters and lecturers who are performing Covid duty during vacations at the earliest. Some of the issues deliberated in the meeting included DPC of all cadres of Education Department, regularization of all cadres of education departments and the system of promotion in own Pay Grade (OPG) should replaced by promoting the cadres on regular basis, allowing the teaching staff to attend the school on roaster basis (alternate days), immediate issuance of pending transfer lists, transition of posts in favour of Grade -2 and Grade-3 teachers, provision of early disposal of Post facto permission in favour of teachers and masters, UT Grades to all the employees of J&K UT, removal of Pay Anomalies in favour of Master Grade as the file is already in Pay Anomalies Committee, sanctioning of posts of Class IV, Junior Astts, in different zones and schools as these zones and schools are working without staff, Old Pension Scheme (OPS) to NPS employees of UT, sanctioning of Masters Grade posts in SSA upgraded schools, regularization of Contingent Paid Workers (CPWs) who are the backbone of education department are being paid in meager honorarium of Rs 50/100 per month. The Forum demands their regularization, these employees be covered under Minimum wages Act till their regularization. Besides, several other points were also raised for their early consideration by the authorities. Prominent who attended the meeting included Soorat Singh Toofani, Jamayat Ali Agah, Rajinder Gupta, Darshan Sharma, Ravinder Singh, Kuldeep Singh Bandral, Ishaq Rashid and several others. |
