No doctors at PHC Dachan put patients at risk | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 24: Residents of far-flung Dachan area in Kishtwar district have voiced concern over the non-availability of doctors in the Primary Health Centre (PHC). The residents said that on most occasions no doctor is available at the PHC and the patients have to look for other options. The residents said that although some doctors are posted at PHC Dachan but most of them are not present at the health centre. They alleged that the concerned Block Medical Officer (BMO) seldom visits the health centres of his particular area and said that the poor masses are forced to feel the heat. The residents said that they had requested for air ambulance facility for Dachan, Marwah, Padder, Nagseni and other far-flung areas of the Kishtwar district adding that this request has not heeded to. They demanded intervention from LG Manoj Sinha and Director Health Services, Jammu in this regard. |
