Far-flung areas facing immense problems, admin nowhere, alleges Sarpanch | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 24: The Sarpanch of Sigdi B2 Mughal Maidan block in Kishtwar district has urged the LG administration to depute a team to the far-flung areas of the twin districts of Doda and Kishtwar district to assess the problems being faced by the people of these far-off areas. Talking to Early Times, Shabir Lone, Sarpanch Sigdi B2 Mughal Maidan said that there is scheduled cut of 13 hours power cut in far-flung areas of Kishtwar district. Shabir said that in the rest 11 hours there is further cut of couple of hours adding that still then the people are forced inflated electricity bills. “The people living in far-flung areas like Marwah, Dachan, Nagssni, Palmar and many others are facing huge problems on multiple fronts. The medical facilities in these areas are minimal and the patients are being forced to feel the heat. There are no doctors in the medical institutions and there is also shortage of medicines,” said the Sarpanch. The Sarpanch said that it is better to depute a team of the officers to these areas so that the truth comes to the fore. He said the problems of the people can be solved by the pro-active approach of the administration adding that the good governance index results hold no meaning as long as people are suffering. |
