JKHCBAJ seeks postponement of Mains exam for Prosecuting Officer

JAMMU, Jan 24: To discuss the postponement of the Mains examination of the Prosecuting Officer in view of the present prevailing Covid-19 (Omicron) pandemic situation, the J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu (JKHCBAJ) held a meeting today. The meeting was convened in the J&K High Court Complex, Jammu, under the chairmanship of senior Advocate and president JKHCBAJ, M.K Bhardwaj,
The JKHCBAJ has received number of representations from the aspirants of the Prosecuting Officer Examination 2021 regarding postponement of the main examination of Prosecuting Officer in view of present prevailing circumstances.
The J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, unanimously resolved that the present situation is not cordial to conduct the main examination of Prosecuting Officer in view of the community spread of Covid-19 (Omicron) variant as the same is reflected in the recent Central Government Health Committee Report. It is also pointed out that examinations is to be conducted by the PSC from 31-01-2022 to 10-02-2022 and many of the reports are suggesting that the same period is the peak of 3rd wave and in view of the same it is impossible for the aspirants of the PO main examination to participate in the present circumstances.
M.K Bhardwaj, Senior Advocate & President has urged the Chairman, Public Service Commission, J&K to postpone the main examination of Prosecuting Officer in view of present pandemic circumstances.
The meeting was attended by other office bearers of the Association, namely M.P Singh Palli (Vice President), Surjeet Singh Andotra (General Secretary), Aditya Sharma (Joint Secretary), Amandeep Singh (Treasurer), Rohit Sharma (YLA President), Gagandeep Singh Lucky (YLA Vice President), Yaseer Farooq Khan (YLA General Secretary), Karanjeet Singh Johal (YLA Joint Secretary), Naresh Kumar (YLA Treasurer) and other young members were also present.
